I have been a fan of Michelle’s for a very long time. She has got her head on straight and she doesn’t take any “poop” from the lefties.

Michelle, thanks. This means a lot to us.

I will not be able to attend the Gathering of Eagles as I will be en route to the Middle East for a one-year tour. But Michelle’s support for this cause motivated me to send a donation, and I hope it will be used well to support the troops (real support, not “I support the troops, but…” support) and protect memorials that honor people and the ideals that made this country great.

Sky Soldier, many prayers headed your way. My hsuband just came back after 13 months on the 12th of this month. We cannot leave the island of Oahu to PCS until that evening because he can’t leave due to redeployment. Also sent a donation and wish we could send more.
Spreading the word to those on the mainland. Know there are some coming from Hawaii.

Hi Michelle,

I read your column in the Kansas City Star and love it. You hit the nail squarely on the head everytime. Too bad there aren’t more columnist like you instead of all of the left wing radicals who are going to bring this GREAT contry down! We need to worry about these types more as well as outside forces.

God bless you,

18. alice on March 3rd, 2007 4:57 pm

My first husband died in Vietnam and my nephew is in Iraq. I will be joining the March on the Pentagon. Just consider me part of the majority of the American people who are sick of this stupid war and don’t buy the excuse-of-the-week.

What have you ever lost or risked, Michele? Is this a good career move for you? Do you hope to be the Asian Ann Coulter? If another 3000 or 30,000 soldiers die (and who knows how many iraqis because they are not good enough to count…oh, right, its all so that those worthless people can have democracy) what do you care as long as you get your name out there.

Gather of assholes, kiss my royal ass. See you in Washington! I already have a hotel room and I don’t have to get a cheap one! But then, you don’t need a cheap one either, do you Michele? That’s just for the poor suckers who read your twaddle.

Why are liberals so foul mouthed, maybe it’s their lack of moral character?

20. alice on March 3rd, 2007 6:52 pm

Yeah, i guess that’s the difference between me and you wingnuts: you are offended by a word (unless of course monkey-boy the president uses it) and I am offended by a war of aggression and the slaughter of innocent people.

CAN ANY ONE GET THIS MESSSAGE TO MICHELLE?
MARCH 17TH IS SAINT PATRICKS DAY. SAINT PATRICK RAN THE SNAKES OUT OF IRELAND. DO YOU SUPPOSE HE’S NOT TO BUSY TO RUN THE SNAKES OUT OF WASHINGTON?
WEAR YOUR UNIFORM BUY ONE IF IT DOESN’T FIT.
THEY MAY STOP US FROM CARRRYING FLAGS BUT THEY WILL NEVER RIP THE FLAG OFF MY UNIFORM. 72 YEAR OLD KOREA EAR VETERAN WHO STAYED AT THE WALL FOR 17 YEARS 24 HOURS A DAY SOMETIMES ONE TO TWO THREE DAYS A WEEK . BRAVO WAS THERE 24/7 FOR OVER TWENTY. WHERE WERE YOU GUYS WHEN WE WERE DOING A SINGLE?

22. travelinman on March 4th, 2007 5:33 am

alice,

I am not offended by a word; I am offended by the liberal’s lack of self-respect, inability to control their mind to keyboard/mouth filter and their inability to carry on a discussion without resorting to profanity.

Profanity is the result of an unordered and semiliterate mind.

23. travelinman on March 4th, 2007 5:48 am

One other thing, referring to the President of the United States as monkey-boy shows how little respect you have for America.

You have every right to disagree with a President’s policy, you have every right to march, sing songs, carry signs and petition you government to change. You have every right to disrespect the person after he or in the future she leaves office if you’re crude enough to do so. What you do not have the right to do is disrespect the Office of the President of the United States.

Liberals do not understand respect for the office of the President. I am not a fan of our current President, nor do I agree with the way the Iraq war has been handled but that disagreement in no way entitles me to be disrespectful to the office of the President. Just like your disagreement gives you no right to spray paint the capital building or disgrace the Vietnam Memorial.

Before you go off about right wing propaganda regarding the Wall. Having Jane Fonda within the same zip code as the memorial to those 58,000 American heroes who gave their lives for our freedom is a desecration in and of itself. I will be there to silently honor those sacrifices and care not one whit what you or any other liberal American impersonator thinks.

24. alice on March 4th, 2007 7:52 am

you’ve been drinking the kool-aid travelinman! spraypaint the capitol???? disgrace the Vietnam Memorial???? Where do you get these wacky ideas? Did they mix up your meds at Walter Reed?

You are what i consider a contortionist: someone who manages to kiss the butt of the person who is screwing them.

Here’s what the monkey has for you:

http://vawatchdog.org/milcom/clintonfuller.htm

Did VA Budget Cutbacks Lead to the Death of Clinton Fuller?

Instead of administering life-saving medical care, VA called 911 and had veteran taken to another hospital where he died.

and P.S. Jane Fonda will not be at this demonstration. She attended the one on January 27 that supported the Democratic Party. I have no illusions that the Democrats are any better than the Republicans.

25. Redhead Infidel on March 4th, 2007 8:32 am

Alice said: “spraypaint the capitol???? disgrace the Vietnam Memorial???? Where do you get these wacky ideas?”

Wacky ideas? Hardly. It’s what you libs do. Read this compilation of how peace activists have treated our war memorials over the years. They’ve proven themselves over time and we’d be fools to expect anything less from them/you.

Alice, your crassness in these comments is indicative of your lack of respect for the veterans here and what’s important to them.

26. alice on March 4th, 2007 9:03 am

Redhead, I could just as easily say that John Allen Muhammad, (remember the sniper?) and Timothy McVeigh represent what veterans do but that would be just as wacky as your comment.

This is not about respect or lack of it because as I noted, many veterans and soldiers and their families will be marching and you would have the same comments about them. It is simply that you want to try to intimidate people who are opposed to the war.

Guess what. it won’t work. We are marching. See you there.

27. Coop on March 4th, 2007 9:19 am

The only folks trying to intimidate anyone are the people frantically shrieking and wringing their hands over a group of veterans expressing their right to free speech.

See you there is right. You won’t have the streets to yourselves this time. And it’s driving you nuts. :-D

28. alice on March 4th, 2007 9:31 am

I think your presence is a great opportunity to teach my nephews about the nut jobs who kiss the ass of the corporate interests who are screwing them over, taking away their social security, job security, sending their children to die in a boondoggle and then filling their TV screens with mindless crap about britany spears while they loot the country.

SUCK-AAAAH!!!!!

29. Redhead Infidel on March 4th, 2007 9:35 am

Alice said: “Guess what. it won’t work. We are marching. See you there.”

Guess what, Alice? It won’t work. We are standing. See you there.

We have just as much right as you do to Gather on March 17th. Why are you so worried about it?

Oh, and try not to run away. We wouldn’t want your nephews to see you as a coward. Or maybe they already know.

These are the people you are being so disrespectful to: American Soldiers. You will never amount to a fraction of one of them. I feel sorry for you.

30. alice on March 4th, 2007 10:20 am

i was at an antiwar march about a year and a half ago where a handful of whackos such as yourself taunted the demonstrators. but the whackos did not know what to do when a very large contingent of anti-war veterans and soldiers appeared.

it was priceless!

anyway, the dead elephant in the middle of the room that none of you whackos want to talk about is that the majority of the american people are against the war.

You talk about respecting soldiers but apparently you think their lives are so worthless that they should keep on being used as cannon fodder in a war that is already lost and has no public support. the iraqis want the US out, the american people want the US out. only the oil companies and their president and congress want it to continue. can you answer that? all you illiterates have is insults. no surprise.

31. Fantastique on March 4th, 2007 10:24 am

A lice,

Note the number of hits on this website since February 9, 2007. The count is over on the RIGHT hand side. Note also the veterans groups listed (also on THE RIGHT) who support the Gathering of Eagles effort.

If only half that number arrives in Washington to protect America’s memorials from your ill-informed “mob”, you and your fellow Anti-American, pro-Communist, pro-terrorist herd are finally going to experience what “real” American patriotism looks like, sounds like and acts like.

Have a nice “useful idiot: day, “Comrad.”

32. Fantastique on March 4th, 2007 10:41 am

“..anyway, the dead elephant in the middle of the room that none of you whackos want to talk about is that the majority of the american people are against the war.”

Wrong again, A lice.

The MAJORITY of Americans support VICTORY in Iraq. Check the polls.

Your kind DOES NOT speak for the majority of Americans. Your kind is anathema to the principles and goals of the VAST MAJORITY of Americans.

America is not a Communist dictatorship. It is a Capitalist, free and open society.

Now I’m sure that your Communist handlers from A.S.W.E.R would love to change that by undermining our Nation’s efforts to defend ourselves, but we Americans have learned from history. We know what A.N.S.W.E.R did to undermine the the morale of America during the Vietnam War.

Your tactics haven’t changed. That is good. We know how you operate, we know your strategy.

See you on March 17th, “Comrad.”

34. BikerJim on March 4th, 2007 11:06 am

Alice, any insults Cindy Sheehan hurls at the vets are
certainly insults to her own son! A Liberal views debate
as shouting insults to drown out the other side! Free
exchange of ideas is a completely foreign concept to a
Liberal.

Alice said: “i was at an antiwar march about a year and a half ago where a handful of whackos such as yourself taunted the demonstrators. but the whackos did not know what to do when a very large contingent of anti-war veterans and soldiers appeared. it was priceless!”

I wish I could see your face when you have to face our “handful” of Eagles. That will give new meaning to the term “priceless”.

Alice said: “all you illiterates have is insults.”

Ahhh, I see you’re from the John Kerry school of thought.

Remind me again who came here and started slinging insults? I believe in your very first comment on this site you called us a gathering of assholes and told us to kiss your royal ass. Nice.

Coop said: “Alice…I smell fear.”

So that’s the stench in here. ;)

36. alice on March 4th, 2007 11:15 am

okay, NOW i am insulted. you compare me to that wuss, John Kerry????

Yes, i have insults, Redhead, you betcha! I have insults AND ideas. ALL you have is insults.

now, just for fun here is another idea. If you are so patriotic, then why don’t you support what the majority of the AMERICAN PEOPLE want? they want an end to the war. They don’t want any more soldiers to go to Iraq or anywhere and die for NO GOOD REASON. The war in Vietnam was lost in 1968 yet another 30,000 american soldiers died before the end of the war. (plus a few million vietnamese.) More soldiers will die just so that the American government can avoid the APPEARANCE of having lost the war. They can’t leave and they can’t win.

37. BikerJim on March 4th, 2007 11:18 am

The problem with freedom and democracy is now and then
you have to defend it. Thank God we don’t have to count
on Libs to do it. Look at the overwhelming numbers of
conservatives in the military, so much so that Algore
wanted to eliminate absentee ballots from the military
from the election results. I believe in my heart that
had todays Liberals been around after Pearl Harbor, they
wouldn’t defend the country even then! Libs would rather
die than even defend themselves! The reason most anti
war rallies draw a larger crowd is the crowd is mostly
made up at life’s losers who want to try to find some-
thing to make them feel good about themselves. Most of
the producers that make this country work are either
at work producing taxes to pay for all your freebees or
on the job defending you so you can try to find some
reason to justify your miserable existence.

38. Redhead Infidel on March 4th, 2007 11:57 am

Fantastique, here’s a link to one of the latest polls you are referring to:

Poll: Americans Want To Win In Iraq

39. Redhead Infidel on March 4th, 2007 12:39 pm

See how little you know Alice? There’s no end to your ignorance. When you say we lost the war in Vietnam in ‘68, you are showing an insurmountable misunderstanding of what happened. We never lost the war militarily in Vietnam, though your historical revisionists would brainwash you into thinking so.

The Legacy of Tet

I find it incredible that you would say that we can’t win this war. We already did. But now, thanks to you and your ilk, Alice, our soldiers are hamstrung by our media and politicians so that they cannot complete their mission. Now, they are trying to build a nation under the concerted attacks of the majority of the world’s terror groups, AND getting stabbed in the backs by the likes of you.

Ask any active combat soldier how he feels about people like you and you’ll be told to take your “support” and shove it where the sun don’t shine. How does it feel to be scorned and hated by the vast majority of America’s military? Maybe that’s why you’re such a bitter old hag - you’re being ignored by America’s best and brightest.

40. BikerJim on March 4th, 2007 1:17 pm

The anti-war kooks don’t give a rats rear-end for the
troops and we all know it. The old Jane Fonda crowd is
taking a sentimental journey back to the 60’s and the
younger ones see this as their version of the same. This
particular war is just a good excuse to demonstrate.
They did the same thing 17 years ago during Desert Storm.
If the muslim nuts ever succeed in setting off a nuke
here, they’ll be waving white flags and saying “can we
talk” even then. One thing , we can’t protect the Wall
24/7 but they won’t touch it on March 17th!

41. Deltaknight67 on March 4th, 2007 2:03 pm

The Only reason ALICE is P***ed is because WE are going to be there on the 17th.Like a parent telling a kid,you have to play with Bobby whether you like it or not.Shes just having a temper tantrum or shes got the curse going for her,she Damn sure doesn’t have any smarts going for her.As for myself,I’ll be there to protect our Memorial and my brothers,By the way Alice. It was because of Kerry and Hanoi Jane and the NEWS MEDIA that the extra 30,000 as you say troops were killed in combat. They caused the war to go on because it gave HOPE to North Vietnam and Gen Giap.Kerry and Fonda have more BLOOD on their hands than a Butcher.

Jane Fonda
On November 21, 1970 she told a University of Michigan audience of some two thousand students, “If you understood what communism was, you would hope, you would pray on your knees that we would some day become communist.” At Duke University in North Carolina she repeated what she had said in Michigan, adding “I, a socialist, think that we should strive toward a socialist society, all the way to communism. ” Washington Times July 7, 2000

Of course Jane and her friends hope it takes long enough

Here is my post that your moderator deleted: (Daddy Moderator has to protect you from quotes from a dead general)

Dwight Eisenhower: “In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the militaryindustrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.

We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together.”

48. Coop on March 5th, 2007 8:58 am

Liberties and democratic processes? You mean like veterans exercising their well EARNED right to freedom of speech? I like that!

“It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us the freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the agitator, who has given us the freedom to protest. It is the soldier who salutes the flag, serves beneath the flag, whose coffin is draped by the flag, who gives that protester the freedom to abuse and burn that flag.
