You can get it at http://www.gatheringofeaglesgear.org It is the featured product on the left side of the page. Pay your $3.00, then download both copies of this excellent song. That’s right, you get both the original and the version edited for use on radio for only $3.00.

So why are you still reading this when you could be downloading the mp3 right now and singing it’s praises yourself?

Help the cause, get everyone to buy this song.

I have 19 of my brothers name on the wall, I am a Sgt. USMC, I lost 19 of my close brothers and over 87 wounded in Vietnam. There is only about 36 of us still alive today. We went to VN with 218 and came home with 104 of the original company. Thank you.

Sorry, guys. Here’s the product page. I included the link above, too.

I read the GOE Mission Statement.

Then I read the lyrics to this song.

Then I read the GOE Mission Statement again, just to make sure.

Either one or the other should be changed IMO. Talking about stitches and kicking ass is not standing “silent guard”.

    Gerald,

What do you think would of happened if they had decided to go through our line and had actually defaced The Wall or one of the other monuments that we were at? Hmmmmmmmm….?

As the song states…”your’re free to demonstrate, March up and down this Mall, You shout and scream all you want, on that we’d give a pass, But you try some Wall-defacing stunt, And, son,……”

The implication of us just being there is what again Gerald? Complacentcy…somehow I just don’t think so.

What happened or didnt happen on March 17th is beside the point. I’m sorry if you don’t like my opinion, but that song sounds like something a bunch of drunken rednecks would holler out a car window. If the lyrics aren’t suitable for my 8 and 10 year old grandkids to listen to, then I don’t think its a suitable way to honor the proud veterans who were there that day and I think its a shame that GOE considers that song a proper way to fund operations.

Gerald, I ain’t too keen on the song, either. But to insinuate that it doesn’t fit with GOE’s mission is really stretching it. Don’t buy the song, and don’t read the lyrics.

Coop, point me out a reference to “Kickass” anywhere in the GOE Mission Statement and I will agree with you.

  12. Coop on April 3rd, 2007 8:09 am

    It’s a song, Gerald.

Here’s another tip. Don’t read the Mission Statement either.

It’s a shame some folks expend so much energy on nitpicking instead of helping out.

    It isn’t for everybody,but…

Guys, guys…it’s not the GOE theme song. It’s a fun song written by a popular veteran poet, and it’s been donated to help raise funds for the next GOE mission. It’s a gift.

Gerald, to be more clear, it’s written by a soldier, for soldiers, and it’s bound to be a little salty. Just tap your toes and enjoy it, or…don’t. See how easy that is? Oh…one more thing…perhaps this is more to your taste? la la la

thought there was going to be a place to store them?

Got something to say?
