Marines on Trial, Part 2

April 25, 2007

Part two of my show on Haditha and Hamdania is tonight, with parents of the Pendleton 8 on the show to talk about why one of their sons took a plea and why the other is standing strong in his claim of innocence.

Tune in at 10 pm Eastern, and feel free to call in at 646-915-9926.

After listening to this second show on the Pendleton 8, I am even more convinced of their probable innocence, and their definite maltreatment. It appears they have been made scapegoats for political purposes. The tactics of their own government (OUR GOVERMENT) in this case is deplorable! I feel their convictions should be thrown out, previous statements they made under duress surpressed, and a new FAIR and open trial, including a jury of their PEERS, be convened. Why does the ACLU not defend the rights of soldiers with the same vigor as they do of terrorists?

If you will remember, big-headed Murtha pronounced them guilty long before the investigation had even started.

Based on the statements I have heard they should be exonerated of all charges, returned to their company, and any or all pay that may have been withheld. Then we need to ferret out the real truth hidden in the upper command and make them fall on their sword as they have tried to make these eight do.
In my life time I have watched this scenario play out time and again where the lower to middle leadership scwew up and the upper echelon circle the wagons to protect their a$$ and find some poor ground pounder for the scape goat. JMO

KIT, I tried to get through live, didn’t make it. What I have been doing since the first show to help and recommend to others to do. I have 30 Media e-mail address on my computer, plus Sen&Rep’s and the White House. I have been sending out the Info the Marine families have provided. Sometimes 2-3 times a day. So far I haven’t been blocked. And sooner or later someone has to read it….. “EAGLES UP”

We need to flood Congress and the White House with letters. I sent a comment to the Joint Chief but don’t know if that goes anywhere. This is a political sellout if you ask me. I love the military and there are many noble men and women, but it only takes a few who will protect their careers at all costs and turn their backs on their fellow soldier/sailors. I saw it occasionally on a small scale when my husband was an active duty Naval officer. Sounds like this is what is going on with this. Lt. General James Mattis (sp?)needs to be emailed as well, but he may be the type that will put his career over what is ethical and honest. It appears he already has.

Got something to say?
