States, It’s Time to Ante Up!

State Coordinators and Fellow Eagles,
It is time to “ANTE UP!”
I am proud to officially announce the first ever Eagle’s Nest Competition. The Eagle’s Nest Competition is a Fundraising competition between all states and all Eagles to race towards this year’s fundraising goal of $175,000.00
Each state is to hold 3 fundraising events, approved by GOE’s fundraising committee, on 3 seperate dates between now and September 30, 2007.
The top three states to raise the most funds will win prizes. The Grand Prize winners will not only receive some excellent “GOE bling,” but will also be featured on the front page of the GOE website and noted at GOE 3 (on stage). Prizes will be exciting and listed at a later date.
Please have your events and dates emailed to gabrielle.pike@gatheringofeagles.org by June 24, 2007.

Starting with the first, 09 FEB 07 “Welcome” and read all the post and comments through 17 Mar 07 “MISSION ACCOMPLISHED”..I recommend this to all..Since we all miss our moonbats, who so courageously ran away and may need to get that back in our teeth. Roger that Soapbox STREET BOB ! LOL no offense meant and none taken here.Well the only hogs I know anything about are the wild ones I plan on hunting when I get home. That is the one activity I really miss the most is hungting with my brother and my nephew and my buddies from work had a lot of good times with those guys, my nephew is getting good on the skeet range when I get home he is getting a 20 guage shotgun so he can bird hunt with me and my brother.

Maybe one day I can head your way and spend some time on the skeet range with you. My friend Douglas R. was just amazing on the range, nearly made the U.S. Olympic team back in the early 80s. Sure miss him, he passed away last year. Navy Seal and the best friend a man could ever have. Think I’ve written about him before. Thanx for bringing the memory of those days on the range with Douglas R. back front & center. You put a big smile on my face that will last all day! Rimind me to tell you the one about how he would order his hot dogs. You’ll laugh your ass off. Thanx again 66, I owe you yet another one!
Soapbox you owe me nothing my friend no one is keeping score we do what we can for each other and that is all that matters.Soapbox you can’t beat having a buddy you can go to the gun range with or to a hunting camp, I tell you I miss those days bigtime I know they are right around the corner again and that helps keep me going.the unfortunate thing is all my hunting buddies will be headed to the sandbox not too long after I return home I guarantee one thing they will all be Eagles before they go and they will know how to access all the great people here.
Soapbox one of my friends joined a gun club in Grand Prairie Texas he says it is a great place to shoot and you can go any day all day if you want so I am looking at joining when I get home.

MATTER OF FACT I THINK I ALREADY MENTIONED IT BUT THAT WAS THE FIRST TIME I SAW JOE66 WRITE IN. ALSO, I CAN’T REMEMBER HIS NAME RIGHT NOW BUT I’M SURE YOU ALL REMEMBER THE 16 YEAR OLD THAT WROTE IN ABOUT HOW PROUD HE WAS OF EVERYBODY AND THAT HE WANTED TO JOIN THE MILITARY AS SOON AS HE COULD.
