Dear Vets for Freedom members:
Last year, Vets for Freedom led the fight to support the Iraq surge by urging Congress and then-Senator Obama to "listen to commanders on the ground" and "give them the resources they need to win." Today, President Obama faces a similar choice in Afghanistan—and it's our job to help ensure he makes the right decision.
The commander on the ground in Afghanistan—General Stanley A. McChrystal—and his boss General David Petraeus, are the same leaders who turned around the war in Iraq. Soon they will make a formal request to President Obama for more troops in Afghanistan, a move both generals believe is fundamental to winning the war. Our President would be well served to listen, especially since he has called Afghanistan a war of necessity that America must win. We agree!
CLICK HERE to sign the "Give Our Generals What They Need" Petition and tell President Obama to support success on the battlefield.
Then, forward this petition link to at least 5 of your fellow veterans and friends. Link: www.vetsforfreedom.org/give_them_what_they_need
President Obama is planning to make his decision in a few weeks, and we literally plan to send him a stack of signatures longer than his health care bill!
Nothing less than the success of the mission and the legacy of our country are at stake. Again, CLICK HERE to read the entire petition and sign up today.
Move out and draw fire!
