Eagles Needed: Orlando

If you’re around Orlando this weekend, please stop by and show your support as Eagles rally in Florida!

As part of a 10-city rally, anti-war protesters and speakers organized by United for Peace & Justice plan to march and rally, gathering at the northeast corner of Lake Eola and marching through downtown from 1 to 4:30 p.m.

United for Peace & Justice is a coalition of more than 1,300 groups opposed to the war in Iraq. Organizers have a permit for as many as 5,000 people.

A counter-demonstration that includes the Gathering of Eagles, a national group dedicated to preventing desecration to veterans’ monuments, plans to rally at Heritage Square on Central Boulevard from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Organizers hope to draw 1,500 people.

    well as most in orlando know I couldnt make it because of having my gall bladder removed wed. I have been watchin network and local news. they are not showing allot of any of it here. most has been a march for cancer awareness. and coder pink showed up to support them and also more then likely got some of them to show up also for the anti war rally

    they just now showed in from a chooper they said they estimated the turn out to be 1 to 5 thousand people. they said their was a counter rally also on central ave in the same area, but said nothing about how many showed up for the support rally.

    keep up the pressure they cant get away from teh words that they do not run the military or troops and it is not up to them to bring the troops home.

    They had maybe 750 on the march which they curtailed to less then half of their planned route. Eagles had a wonderful day with a nice crowd of dedicated warriors who showed the Moonbats what we thought of them. In the final half of their march it poured down a S.E. Asia type rain on their parade. Boo Hoo. Go to the Florida site for movies of the fun.
