Americans Standing Up in Philadelphia

January 1, 2008

On Sunday, 30 December, 2007 , the Veteran’s for Peace (the old holdovers from VVAW), Code Pink, the usual assortment of leftists and one poor IVAW vet assembled in Philadelphia to call for impeachment of both the President and Vice President. This pathetic assemblage was led by Bill Perry, Vietnam vet and “Winter Soldier” participant. I have included Bill’s testimony below so you can see exactly whom we are up against.

Although we were out-numbered 5 or 6 to one, we made our voices heard and were able to rain on their little America hate-fest. Perry even threw the microphone to the ground when I read his “Winter Soldier” testimony aloud, and the chants of “Soldiers died when Perry lied!” rang out. Several people from the weekly West Chester , PA action joined us, as did a Marine who was just walking by. A number of passers by, including a Blue Star mom, stopped to thank us for not letting these miscreants go unopposed. Never underestimate the power of a few, hearty, extremely loud patriots when we assemble under the flag. It is simply time to take these people on whenever and wherever they gather; no matter the numbers you can muster.

The anti-American hate fest was advertised as a two and a half hour event, but barely went half that. After enduring our facts and challenges for a little over an hour they packed their belongings and marched off for more passive pastures. Unfortunately, do to the nature of the area, we were unable to follow them and harass their route, but they will not soon forget us. Kudos to the brave patriots who stood together under leaden skies, and fought the good fight. While standing there I received several emails from our brave warriors deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan . As I shared the emails with my fellow patriots they got hearty and louder. Our heroes know we are fighting for them and they appreciate it. We are making a difference wherever we gather. Thank you all, each and every one of you for all that you do for my guys in uniform. Happy New Year my brothers and sisters. Manchu.

Bill Perry’s Winter Soldier testimony

I served in Vietnam from ‘67 to ‘68. I wouldn’t like to go too far into the horror stories you’ve been hearing about the last few days, but I would like to relate a few incidents. On March 5, 1968, in the province of Phuc Long, village of Song Be, a platoon of us, twenty-nine of us, were on a search and destroy mission. A few of us, who were considered expendable, were told to walk point.

As we came up out of a bamboo thicket into a clearing, a woman with whom I and one of the other two people had previously had what you might call business transactions with concerning marijuana, informed us of an imminent ambush on the part of the local forces. Myself and two others ran into her home with her. We weren’t sure whether she was _____ us or what, but we were scared so we ran into her home. The rest of the platoon came up out of the valley into the clearing and was ambushed. We were isolated pretty well from the rest of the platoon while they were getting shot up. And when an NCO came up to look into the house where we were kind of looking out the door with the woman, the NCO automatically figured that we must be VC prisoners and he shot her up. She had a very young child inside her bomb shelter. Every Vietnamese home has to have a bomb shelter. The ambush actually lasted about two or three minutes, and the platoon got pretty well shot up. For about five hours they called in artillery and air strikes and pretty well demolished the town of Song Be. Finally when enough reinforcements came, they went out to sweep the area. They decided to throw fragmentation, or white phosphorus grenades, inside of each bunker regardless of what was going down in any bunker. We tried to stop them from fragging other bunkers where we could hear screams or moans or whatever, but they were really into it.

Well done to Chris and to ALL who dedicate time from their lives to defend our troops and support their fight for VICTORY. In the 60’s & 70’s we yielded to them the streets…and we’ve paid a dear price for that timidity ever since.

A few $$ on the way to GOE for your commitment to activism in “the streets”. That’s a great way to start off the new year right.

Every time I look at a cluster of these remarkable moronic moonbats, I get a pounding in my head from my blood pressure rising. Damn fools! I will say that those loony moonies have more paper machet talent then us.

You guys did good. I’m proud of you.

It’s great to see that passers-by stop to support your efforts. This happens everytime we gather anywhere across the country.

There are a lot of Patriots out there willing to do what’s necessary to fight back against the Insurgency at Home.

We’re finding them more and more each time.

Gives me a positive outlook for ‘08

If anything this rotten corksucker has to say can be believed this is the cake taker. He and another pot-head hid with Mamasan while his platoon was ambushed. That’s desertion, dereliction and giving aid and comfort to the enemy.

Shooting the bastard is too merciful. If this is true I’d gut him!

I oppose US invasions of countries that did not attack the US. The US has a systemic problem in its domestic politics that causes us to go kill lots of innocent people in other countries. It is some of the oil people, some banking people, some big weapons makers, some over-dedicated religious people, greedy politicians and so forth. NO NATION IS ATTACKING AMERICA. We are a nuclear armed juggernaut It is not courage to wage war, with the ultimate trump card standing behind you. Please take a pill, GOE’s - your militarism is not helpful. -Todd.

These leftists only goal is to bash Bush and blame America.

These Anti-War and Impeach Bush protestors do not want our troops to win in Iraq.

They would rather AMERICA LOSES so that they can use the loss to embarass Bush and blame him.

The leftist protestors do not believe that the overwhelming majority of our troops dispise them and do not feel supported by them.

I was proud to be part of the Patriots standing up to them and reminding them of all of the above.

Thanks to all the Patriots and GOE members for taking the time and being present at these “Bash America” rallies - because if they weren’t there - then the moonbats would be the only voice and face on that sidewalk - misleading the public and telling lies that “9/11 was an inside job” and other crazy statements that hurt our troops and help our enemies.

The leftists don’t realize we face a very real threat from radical islamists - and it is OUR TROOPS who are protecting us and our children 24/7.

Our Troops are our GREATEST PATRIOTS.

Our Troops know that Iraq matters.

I am proud to have been a part of the small but mighty number of patriots who brought US FLAGS and signs of support for our troops, their families, and their noble and just mission.

The leftists might have had more numbers than us, but we were never outnumbered. We all wore the uniform at one time and we continue to be proud of our country and work hard to support today’s troops - so that they and their families will see and hear us on the sidewalks too - and not just those who want to demoralize and mock them.

    THANK YOU TROOPS!
    THANK YOU MILITARY FAMILIES!

    Happy New Year Troops
    Continued Success in 2008
    Let’s Win!!

I disagree with what you folks are doing but respect your right to speak your minds. Afterall, that’s one of the reasons I thought I served for. Please respect our rights too. Some of your members are extremely disrespectful and not a good reflection on your organization. Yes, support our troops, but support what our troops are supporting too, our Constitution. That is what really makes America great, our Constitution.
    Best wishes

Hey Todd, please read a book, and get out of your mother’s basement, will ya? Idiot! What are you… 9? Get to bed!

    Hey Gordon,
Let me give you a view into my evolution in activism. Initially, I simply stood quietly and held my signs and made my presence known.

After almost 15 years of standing across the street from some of the most vile, hateful, ignorant, pathetic, sticky hippies….my patience has waned.

Further, GOE and other like minded groups have simply taken a page from the left when it comes to protesting…bullhorns, signs, music (though our music is way better than that euro-trash fake African beat crap the left blares)…

Never have I seen an Eagle trample any counter protestor’s rights….please feel free to check with every police department we have taken permits out. On the other hand, we have had to rountinely deal attempts to infringe on our permits and rights.

And don’t even start me on how the moonbats have treated my children in these situations….despicable….thankfully, my kids have seen how BOTH sides behave for many, many events over the years and they would rather have Eagles at their backs than anyone else….frankly I’d stick my 11 year old on any moonbat out there…she can out reason them, out talk them, and is a hell of a lot cuter.

    Gordon,
And your members are….? I was cursed at most rudely by one of your VFPer’s because I do not see him as a true veteran of our wonderful country but as a fake, deceitful, angry, hateful, hate-mongering moon bat. This was caught on tape, too. Not once did I engage in foul language, but have been cursed at repeatedly by your side. I speak the truth. Your side are traitors, anti-American, Bush bashers, who do not answer questions, go off on tangents to avoid answering direct questions, and cover up badness with pretty words, as long as the badness comes from your side. I lived this for too many years for somebody like you to even try to shut me up now. Your side has been allowed to run around screwing up our precious country, condemning it at any opportunity…and we are taking back our country. You don’t like our country…..go where you feel safe….like Iraq? Iran? or any other Muslim invaded country? See ya!!!

  12. winniepeck on January 6th, 2008 3:15 pm

By the way, I was also one of the Patriots who went to Center City to stand up against the moon bats….and moonbats there were. They are sourest, unhappiest looking, ugliest people I have ever had the misfortunate to have to deal with….I will be one of the Patriots that stands up against you moonbats at every opportunity. I am proud to be an American where at least I know I’m free….AND I WON’T FORGET THE MEN WHO DIED WHO GAVE THAT RIGHT TO ME!!!! Take a pill, Todd? No, we leave that and other drugs to your side, after all it is your side that thinks happiness is found in a pill, pot, or other mind-changing substances.

The GOE is the best thing that happened to this country, and being part of the West Chester group has changed my life and allowed me an arena to tell you people that you don’t speak for me, never did, never will, and I will outshout you anyday.

Got something to say?
