Rally in Honor of the Army’s 233rd Birthday
April 22, 2008
For those of you that are service challenged, that’s 14 June, 2008. In recognition of this momentous occasion we are taking the fight to the streets of West Chester, PA. One of the more virulent anti-American groups has set up shop on the steps of the Courthouse there. The birthplace of two-time Medal of Honor recipient, Smedley Butler USMC, has witnessed vile, spiteful attacks by peace protestors. In fact, one of the Vets for Peace (formerly the Vietnam Vets Against the War) assaulted a female because she had the temerity to film his anti-American antics for posterity’s sake. This, from a group that never fails to film everything, which they doctor to promote their own hateful bile. Some of you may remember that the leader of this peace movement made the most despicable comments, in both private and public venues, about veterans in general and us in particular. In case you have forgotten here’s a sampling of her words:
I saw old (my age) men who are still living the wet dreams of youth, decked out in gray beards on those wrinkled faces and leather and metal and waving Old Glory like swords, not like flags. Men who should know better, who should be at better places in their lives, men who should be making positive contributions to our young folks’ futures - but still searching to fulfill dreams that appear to be all they have left. Tragically, those old men’s wet dreams are now fulfilled only by sending off younger men to die. I am sad for them because they seem to have nothing better in their lives than feeding a hungry and hateful war machine, singing praises to tragedy and destruction, and feeding their young to the very jaws of hell.
Those grey-bearded men in their leather jackets and metal studs, with their phallic motorcycles with hideous roaring engines continue to send off young men to die like that, or to return, broken shells of themselves, with the rationalization that they have already “served their time, served their country,” so it’s OK to sacrifice their young to keep alive their never-ending wet dreams. It’s OK, they say, to send off their young to “die for their country” for they seem to have no idea (or simply can’t face the fact) that they are only pawns in a hideous game played by powerful entities that see them only as red meat, cannon fodder, targets, sinew and bones, body bags, graves, memories, economic factors of war production. But, of course, they’re all “for the troops,” and we aren’t, don’t you know?
But, as sad and pitiful as those men are, the death-cheering women are always the most disturbing, the scariest, their hardened and wrinkled faces showing hatred that mothers and daughters just shouldn’t show. I grew up with women like that, often wrinkled and wizzened by tobacco and alcohol and sun and poverty and despair in Appalachian coal country. They were my aunts and neighbors and cousins. Someone said to me, “Why do those women look so much more hateful even than the men? So much more disturbing than the men? So ugly with their hate?” It’s like they purposely put on makeup that makes them hateful and ugly instead of what I think (stereotyping, I know) most women want to be - soft and loving and kind. I answered, “Have you ever seen films of KKK women? Same impression - they appear to be so much more hideous because women just aren’t supposed to be that way.” They’re downright scary. Women are supposed to be motherly and loving and peaceful and all things nurturing and kind - not tools who gladly send off their young sons to die horrible deaths based on lies and deception. If women agree to this horror, what hope is there for the world? They feed their children, willingly, to an insatiable beast called war, to an insatiable beast that rapes them as they smile and takes everything they have, that robs them of their beauty and will send them to their graves in mass ignorance. On one level, I feel so very sorry for them. On another level, they are frightening as harbingers of the very worst mankind has to offer.
We will assemble at 1015hrs on the corner of High & Market Sts, West Chester, PA. On this date, the birthday of the world’s finest fighting force, we will assemble under Old Glory and remind them that without men and women such as us they would have no right to free speech. Of course, they use that right to disparage us, but so be it. Our friends at American Sheepdogs have been holding down this spot for almost a year now. Although almost always numerically out-numbered they persevere with patriotism and the strength of honor. It’s time to, once again, show the anti-American forces that we will not be silenced and we are not going away. Anywhere these anti-American forces gather we will counter them. Afterwards, we will hold court, directly across the street, at a local hall, where adult beverages and food will be provided. Leave the kids at home for this one folks, and remember, like they told me at Ft. Benning, GA all those years ago, “If you find yourself in a fair fight, you didn’t prepare well enough.” Looking forward to standing tall, and looking good, with all of you again. Let’s Roll. Manchu.

On Friday, April 11, 2008, at 10am & 2pm there will be two funerals held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Route 26, Eldersburg, Carroll County, MD. These are for two teens who were killed in a car crash last Saturday night. The insane Westborough Baptist Church (cult) informed our media that they will be there to protest. I know GOE is military-oriented, but I strongly feel we should be there to form a human wall of silence to protect the mourners from their hate-filled spew! I am a Patriot Guard Rider and I know the protocol; unfortunately, the Guard only does fallen military, firemen & police funerals. I know this isn’t really “our” thing and we don’t even have to be representing GOE, as I am not. I am not representing PGR, either. I am simply a civilian here. Anyone interested in joining me? New Haven, CT Rallies
March 27, 2008
For Immediate Release:
The GATHERING OF EAGLES, a patriotic organization whose goal is to publicly support our men and women in uniform, whether active duty or veteran, announces our whole hearted participation with the New Haven EAGLES UP in an upcoming rally at the Vietnam and Korean War memorial.
The Vietnam and Korean War Memorial Walls in New Haven, CT have been desecrated on three separate occasions. It was claimed to have been done by Illegal Alien gangs including - but not necessarily limited to - the MS-13 criminal gang organization, due to the messages that were scrawled upon the face of these memorials.
We as Americans should never stand for this. These two internet links show the media coverage of this story.
On Saturday, April 5th, Gathering of Eagles will be holding a rally at the War Memorial Park in New Haven, to protest this unspeakable act and to stand up for our fallen heroes.

Americans Standing Up: Call to Arms for DC Troop Rally 15 March
December 25, 2007
All of us remember St. Patrick’s Day, 2007. It was blustery, cold, bitter and just about perfect. The time has come to revisit that emotion.
Those who would disparage our brave men and women in uniform are planning to congregate in our nation’s Capital once again this coming March. On March 15, 2008, Gathering of Eagles, in coordination with Move America Forward, Freedom’s Watch, The Band of Mothers, Vets for Freedom, DC Protest Warrior, Eagles Up, Free Republic, New England Warrior and rank and file patriotic Americans, will come together to Support Our Troops and their in-theater commander, General David Petraeus.
Under the banner AMERICANS STANDING UP, we will gather to face down the associated groups who are against everything we hold dear. We will stand united, wave Old Glory, and remind them that they speak neither for us nor for most Americans. We encourage you all to join us in Washington, DC . It is time to once again take back the streets and remind all those people
in their living rooms that there are people who think like them. It is time to once again remind the nation that our brave volunteers in uniform have earned our support. The Surge is working. The tide has turned. I promised some time ago to do everything in my power to BUY THE TROOPS SOME TIME TO WIN. I will stand and support them, come what may, and I look forward to seeing you, my brothers and sisters, again.
Keep fighting the good fight, because not only would our men and women in uniform do it for us: They Already Are Doing It! Consider this your warning order. As plans develop, we will post everything you need to know. Ruck up, troops. Once again, it’s time. Manchu.
Boycott Redacted
November 15, 2007
Hello Patriots,
Hollywood is set to release yet another movie bashing the military. It is the latest in another string of Vietnam type models where we, the military, are the bad guys. As you can see below GOE and a host of like minded organizations are set to boycott and protest the movie’s release. Hollywood only understands one thing: money. We need to make sure they understand that there 23.9 million of us who do not want this type of garbage to run unchecked. Take a look at the Press Release below and, please, act accordingly. I am thinking of standing outside the theater here in Philly with a sign detailing my disgust with the movie. I do not expect all of you to do that, but I would ask that all of you do one thing from the suggested list below.
I had one of the best, if not the best Veteran’s Day weekends this past weekend. It started with me standing in the rain outside Walter Reed to let our wounded heroes know we love them. A number of them came out and thanked us. I also marched in the parade Saturday and read at The Wall that night. I finished up with a trip to Arlington where I treated my girlfriend to the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown. I’ll be damned if I will let all those men and women down by not taking on this movie’s release. Remember: not only would this current crop of warriors do it for us, they already are. Be well my brothers and sisters. It is time to pull in the perimeter and put all the rifles on the line. Fighting is what we are trained to do, so let’s call in the fast movers, the big guns and the naval batteries and remind these people that we are the reason they can say these things, but we will not remain silent anymore. Manchu.

Subject: PLEASE READ: Pro-war town hall rally coming to LouisvilleDear LPAC and Iraq Campaign Supporters,
On Saturday November 10th, Vets for Freedom & Vets for Victory will host a pro-war “town hall rally” in Louisville. These groups are attempting to portray to local and national media that Kentuckians actually support the Iraq War and Senator McConnell’s support of the White House Iraq policies.
On October 17, Vets for Freedom hosted a “town hall rally” in Walton, KY. While the group hoped to show pro-war results in a conservative area of the Commonwealth, the weak turnout of pro-war citizens and the strong showing of anti-war veterans did not not allow them to achieve their goal. Vets for Freedom is trying very hard to change that reality. Last week they announced an aggressive national recruitment drive and a second town hall in KY with guest speaker Erwin Roberts, a pro-war Republican candidate for Rep. John Yarmuth’s seat.
In response, on Saturday November 10, the Iraq Campaign needs you to join us as we establish a strong and respectful presence at their next “town hall rally”. Vets For Freedom & Vets for Victory are coming to our town and we need to again prove to them and the media that the majority of Kentuckians do NOT support an endless, reckless war in Iraq… or Iran!
They are reacting to the overwhelming success of the KY Iraq Summer & Iraq Campaign… Will you help us continue to succeed?
Please join us on:
Saturday, November 10 3pm-5pm
Eastwood Community Center
16300 Eastwood Cutoff Road
Louisville KY 40245This meeting should be of very high importance to all of us who do not support the reckless, endless war in Iraq!
If you have any questions or would like to learn more about these events, please feel free to call/email Sara (her contact info is listed below).
See you on Saturday Nov. 10!
All the best,
Sara, Shawn & Aniello

Eagles Needed: Little Rock, AR
October 26, 2007
Just in time for Halloween, the moonbats are coming out for a demonstration in West Little Rock…please see this link.
My dear, and very brilliant college student, son brought this activity to my attention, as I haven’t checked on the moonbats’ activities since my lone counter protest on September 11th up in the Heights. Tomorrow is forecast to be a beautiful day, and I would invite each of you to join Caleb and I for a counter protest at around 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM, at the corner of Chenal Parkway & Bowman Road. I’m planning for the Wal-Mart/Taco Bell corner.
Some of you will remember back to February, 2003 when these same moonbats were planning to hold an anti-war protest at the Arkansas Vietnam Veterans Memorial. With the help of Dave Elswick of KARN News Radio and the Arkansas Vietnam Veterans Motorcycle Club, the protesters moved their activities to the Capitol front steps. It’s time to show your support for both the troops and the mission. I would encourage each of you to take a look the The Gathering of Eagles website… http://www.gatheringofeagles.org , particularly in regard to Eagles activities and photos thereof. If anyone has any questions, drop me an e-mail or give me a call at 501-590-8417.

Eagles Needed: Evergreen and Denver, CO
October 23, 2007
Colorado is under attack by Anti-War protesters all across the state. Eagles have been stepping up and counter protesting these “mis-informed” citizens, and we have been very successful. As you can tell by visiting our national GatheringofEagles page, local Eagle activities around the country have been picking up.
Berkeley, California - Oct 17, 2007 - Mark this day down folks. It was Wednesday, October 17, 2007 that hundreds of pro-troop supporters turned out for a giant pro-troop rally in Berkeley, CA (one of the most anti-military & anti-war cities in this nation). Not only did the size of the rally shock the San Francisco Bay Area news media, it surprised the anti-war activists at Code Pink who were outnumbered on their own turf!. - More about Berkeley.
Poncha Springs, Colorado - Oct 20, 2007 - Buena Vista Mayor Cara Russell spoke to the crowd before the rally moved inside. She recited a quote by 18th Century Irish philosopher Edmund Burke: “I believe the only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good people to do nothing.” - More about Poncha Springs.
Gathering of Eagles needs to continue this fight to speak-up For the Troops, and For the Mission. Our troops are winning in Iraq and Afghanistan, we as Eagles need to also win in the streets of America so we can avoid a Vietnam style defeat. We are indeed fighting “The insurgency at home”.
Colorado Gathering of Eagles now has an Events page that will bring these Colorado “Anti-War, Anti-Troop and Anti-American” activities to our attention. We as Eagles need to ALWAYS BE THERE — OUR TROOPS ARE ALWAYS THERE — CAN WE LET THEM DOWN?.
mtngrandma & mtngrandpa plan on attending BOTH EVENTS the Evergreen event at 10 am, then the Denver event at noon. The weather is much better than last weekend, and I do know we have a lot of Eagles in the metro area, I’ve got pictures of them at the Danny Dietz memorial dedication on July 4th.Hope to see you all there!
